Mapping theorems on א-spaces

In this paper we improve some mapping theorems on א-spaces. For instance we show that an א-space is preserved by a closed and countably bi-quotient map. This is an improvement of Yun Ziqiu’s theorem: an א-space is preserved by a closed and open map.

Closed mapping theorems on k-spaces with point-countable k-networks

We prove some closed mapping theorems on k-spaces with point-countable k-networks. One of them generalizes Lašnev’s theorem. We also construct an example of a Hausdorff space Ur with a countable base that admits a closed map onto metric space which is not compact-covering. Another our result says that a k-space X with a point-countable k-network admitting a closed surjection which is not compac...

$C$-class functions on common fixed point theorems for weak‎ ‎contraction mapping of integral type in modular spaces

‎In this paper‎, ‎we use the concept of $C$-class functions introduced‎ ‎by Ansari [4] to prove the existence and uniqueness of‎ ‎common fixed point for self-mappings in modular spaces of integral‎ ‎inequality‎. ‎Our results extended and generalized previous known‎ ‎results in this direction‎.

Strong Convergence Theorems of Nonself Nonexpansive Mapping in Banach Spaces

In this paper, we obtain the strong convergence of a Halpern type iterative scheme to a fixed point of nonself nonexpansive mapping in Banach spaces. Our results improve and extend the corresponding results of Jung [6], Song [12,13], Aoyama [2]. Mathematics Subject Classification: 47H09, 47J25

Best proximity point theorems for weakly contractive mapping and weakly Kannan mapping in partial metric spaces

We can see from (p) and (p) that p(x, y) =  implies x = y. However, the converse is not necessarily true. A typical example of this situation is provided by the partial metric space (R,pmax), where the function pmax : R+ × R+ → R+ is defined by pmax(x, y) =max{x, y} for all x, y ∈ R+. Other examples of partial metric spaces which are interesting from a computational point of view may be foun...
